KeyNote Speaker
Every year, Youth Strike works hard at finding one relevant, powerful, and active youth speaker to stay with us the whole weekend. This speaker not only offers his or her constant support and presence, but will lead our group in several group sessions that go hand-in-hand with our small group sessions and energize the group for faithful living. This year's key note speaker will be:

Deke Rider

If you have been to Wesley Woods or Youth Strike recenlty, you might already be familiar with Deke Rider! After joining the full-time staff of Wesley Woods in 1999, he served as Outpost Coordinator, Program Coordinator, and Interim Site Director. He was named the Site Director for Wesley Woods in 2007 and hasn't looked back since.

Deke is married to Su Rider, the Equestrian Coordinator at Wesley Woods, and they have one child, Lia.

Deke has continued to be a great friend and supporter of Youth Strike for Christ. In previous years, Deke has been our Host for the weekend, helped to lead a Break-out Session on camping, and helped with small group leaders. We are excited to welcome him back this year as our KeyNote Speaker!
