Youth Strike for Christ (YSFC)
Questions and Answers

 

bulletQuestion:  Is there security at the event?
Answer:   Yes, there are security people at the event.  During the night, security will be present in the hotel hallways.  Although,  youth leaders are ultimately responsible for their youth group members during the whole event.    
 
bulletQuestion:  Are 7th graders and 12th graders in the same hotel room?
Answer:   No, we group youth of the same grade and gender per hotel room.  Your church can make request on who will be rooming together.  See registration form for more detail on rooming assignments. 
 
bulletQuestion:  Are 7th graders and 12th graders in the same small groups?
Answer:   No, small groups are divided age appropriately.  A small group will have between 10 to 14 youth of the same grade in them. 
 
bulletQuestion:  Can I bring my youth group to YSFC even if we are not a Methodist Church?
Answer:   YES, This event is open to everyone!!  In fact we encourage you to reach out and invite a friend regardless of his or her background. 
 
bulletQuestion: What if I have a medical issue while I'm at YSFC?
Answer:   No problem, we will have a registered nurse on duty 24hrs a day during the whole weekend.  In the packet of information you receive at the YSFC, you will get her cell phone # to contact her at anytime.
 
bulletQuestion:  Where do I check in at?
Answer:    You will check in at the Marriott Hotel.
 
bulletQuestion:  If I come late or on Saturday, where do I check in then?
Answer:    Go to the Polk County Convention Center. Look for a Core Team person and they will help you.
 
bulletQuestion:  How do I get to the Hotel?
Answer:    Go to the "Hotel Info" webpage, driving instructions are there.
