YSFC 2012 Mission
The Youth Strike for Christ team believes a vital part of our Christian life is serving others and supporting those who are in mission. We try to encorporate hands-on mission work in each weekend we plan.
We need food to survive.
What about those who don’t have enough to feed their family?
This year, the YSFC 2012 Mission Project is to collect non-perishable food for the Des Moines Area Resource Council, who helps provide area food pantries; such as Bidwell Riverside.
Please bring a non-perishable food item or items along with you to Youth Strike and drop it off at the Mission Table. The Mission Table will be located outside the main ballroom on Friday night and then inside the ballroom throughout the weekend.
During Free Time on Saturday, you can stop by the Dining Area and help sort the food into boxes to send off to D.M.A.R.C.
Youth Strike attendees have ALWAYS done a great job stepping up to the task. The last time we did this, we sent over 2000 items to Bidwell Riverside. Let’s do that again for the
Des Moines Area Resource Council!
