Frequently Asked Questions If there is bad weather, will YSFC be canceled or rescheduled for a different date?
Youth Strike for Christ will take place regardless of weather conditions. If you cannot make it on Friday night, no problem, you can check in on Saturday. Unfortunately, we are not able to discount your cost or refund your money. YSFC signs contracts with the hotel, convention center, food caterer, bands, etc...and they do not refund us if we cancel.
Do I need to bring extra money?
Yes and No. While all meals and hotel stays are included in the price of YSFC, there are opportunities to purchase band and speaker souvenirs, attend free-time activities, and give towards our mission.
How do I get involved with our mission this year?

Is there security at the event?
Yes, there are security people at the event. During the night, security will be present in the hotel hallways. Although, youth leaders are ultimately responsible for their youth group members during the whole event.
Are 7th graders and 12th graders in the same hotel room?
No, we group youth of the same grade and gender per hotel room. Your church can make request on who will be rooming together. See registration form for more detail on rooming assignments.
Are 7th graders and 12th graders in the same small groups?
No, small groups are divided age appropriately. A small group will have between 10 to 14 youth of the same grade in them.
Can I bring my youth group to YSFC even if we are not a Methodist Church?
YES, This event is open to everyone!! In fact we encourage you to reach out and invite a friend regardless of his or her background.
What if I have a medical issue while I'm at YSFC?
No problem, we will have a registered nurse on duty 24hrs a day during the whole weekend. In the packet of information you receive at the YSFC, you will get her cell phone # to contact her at anytime.
Where do I check in at on Friday night?
You will check in at the Marriott Hotel.
If I come late or on Saturday, where do I check in then?
Go to the Polk County Convention Center. Look for a Core Team person and they will help you.
How do I get to the Hotel?

There is Valet parking at the Hotel but it is expensive. There are other parking ramps located round the Marriott Hotel. They are:
Is there a cost to park in the parking garages?
There is a small fee for Friday night, but Saturday and Sunday are FREE.
